By mail, goods worth CAN$20 or less are free of duty and tax from any country. By courier from China (or anywhere except the US and Mexico), duty and taxes apply above CAN$20. Suspected fakes can be detained for up to 10 working days while the brand owner decides; the personal-use exception covers goods in your possession or baggage. You can ask for a review within 90 days.
