How to order on KakoBuy, in six steps

An agent buys the item in China for you, photographs it, and ships it on. You pay twice: once for the item, later for the shipping. Here is the whole thing, in order.

Create a KakoBuy account (coupon pack)

Ten minutes for the first order. Two minutes for every one after.

Payment 1: the itemThe seller's price plus a small agent fee and China-side shipping to the warehouse.
Payment 2: the shippingWeeks later, once the parcel is packed. Depends on weight and the line you pick.
Your country's import taxSometimes. Depends on where you live and how the parcel is declared.

Create the account, claim the coupons

Sign up through the link above. New accounts get a coupon pack; find it under Coupons in your account. The shipping coupons are the ones worth keeping for step 5.

Add the item

Pick a piece on GRAILS and press Buy on KakoBuy: the item opens on KakoBuy with the size and colour options. Or paste any Weidian or Taobao link into KakoBuy's search bar. Choose the size, write a note to the buyer if the listing needs one (colour names in Chinese are common).

Sizes run small. Check the seller's size chart, and when in doubt go one up.

Pay for the item

This first payment covers the item, the agent fee and the domestic shipping to KakoBuy's warehouse. Card, PayPal or crypto. Nothing else is charged now.

This is not the total. Shipping to you comes later and is paid separately.

Wait for the QC photos

KakoBuy buys the item and photographs it when it arrives at the warehouse, usually within a week. Look at the photos properly: stitching, logos, the size tag. This is the moment to speak up. If something is wrong, ask for a return or exchange before it ships.

Ship the parcel

When everything you want has arrived, submit the parcel. Pick a shipping line (price against speed), choose the declared value, and pay the second payment. Use a shipping coupon here.

Track it and receive it

Most lines take two to four weeks. Track it, keep the tracking number for customs, and if a tax bill comes, that is your country's import duty, not KakoBuy's.
